Get Inspired Every Day with 365 Awesome Photographers

Over the last several years we have been fortunate to work with a dynamic range of amazing photographers in different markets.. We’ve also witnessed how various photography communities became more accessible to the non-photography audience through a simple yet remarkable ‘double-tap’ functionality within the rise of Instagram.

However, with the increase of phone users, Instagram became overwhelmingly flooded with all kinds of imagery. Our Instagram feeds are oversaturated with memes and cat accounts, celebrities and influencers’ lifestyles, food, events, amazing images and poor quality doubtful captures.

With time, we suddenly felt a need for a structured and curated approach to present photography that inspires, stories that perplex, and scenery that is taking your breath away on a consistent basis. Most importantly a handpicked spotlight for the individuals behind the lens.

This is how our 365 Awesome Photographers concept came to be. It is a social project that aims to post every day of the year, highlighting one photographer worth discovering and following across social media. The list is curated by our team, exploring beyond affiliation with our business, beyond geographical locations, genres and styles. We wanted the project to be inspiring as a whole and in its every and each detail.

As creatives, we value much the visual impact of presentation. That is one of the reasons why we like working with Photographers. They seek to show aesthetics, to create art, to communicate through visuals and portray complex feelings through still images. Meanwhile, we use design and typography, user experience and interaction to tell stories and engage users. When creating the website for 365 Awesome Photographers, we considered a lot of clean space that would serve as a canvas for each photographer’s feature, thus making their photography the main center piece.

With time, we suddenly felt a need for a structured and curated approach to present photography that inspires, stories that perplex, and scenery that is taking your breath away. Most importantly a handpicked spotlight for the individuals behind the lens.

As all images displayed on the website are pulled from the photographer’s Instagram accounts, every spotlight looks unique and allows a quick glimpse on the style and individuality of their feeds. We have fortified the look with a minty green accent color to underscore the freshness and innovation of the project. And, of course, we could not resist to apply overlapping typography treatment as part of the styling.

Beyond pleasant and clean aesthetics, the site allows you to scroll through every featured photographer, and follow them on facebook or instagram. You can also choose to select multiple photographers that you like and have that list emailed to you along with their social links (see image below). Just login with your Facebook account and enjoy.

We are also open and eager to hear about your suggestions for the list. So, if you are a photographer or you know an incredibly talented creative who needs to be on this list, just send us your recommendation via the Submission Form available on the website.

For those who prefer to stick to Instagram, we made sure your daily dose of inspirations gets delivered straight to your feed. We share two remarkable images of each photographer, with a short insight on their style, story and photography preferences. Even if you don’t follow the individual photographers but keep following the project’s account, you are guaranteed to get inspired once per day!
And of course, don’t forget to use the #365awesomephotographers hashtag for a chance to be featured on the project’s website and social platforms.
